SUMMARY:Week 7 - Preparing For The Harvest Festival
DESCRIPTION:This week is all about giving thanks to our community.  We will be practicing our grace and courtesy lessons that we have learned throughout the year.  We will prepare baked goods\, make beautiful flower arrangements\, and create beautiful art to display at our end of the Summer Harvest Festival.  Students will create programs to hand out as well as take part in the special jobs that help them feel like they are part of something bigger.  All of our current and former Nature Song Montessori friends and family will be invited to feast their eyes and tastebuds on our student’s hard work. SUMMARY:Week 6 - Cooking/Tasting The Harvest
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we apply our lessons learned from the garden and discover what it means to bring the harvest to the table this week. Cooking organic treats and practicing our fine motor skills with real tools from the kitchen will engage our students and help develop their knowledge about where our food comes from.  We will enjoy cooking deliciously fresh organic snacks that will be sent home daily with our young chefs!

SUMMARY:Week 5 - Readers Theatre and Talent Show
DESCRIPTION:Bring your favorite book\, musical instrument\, or special talent to school this week and maybe it will open the door for creative story telling\, drama\, or acting.  Early childhood Montessori students enjoy hearing true stories told by their teacher and older classmates. Story telling can nurture the development of self expression through public speaking\, drama\, and performance. Students may create their own performance or play based on a true story. DESCRIPTION:For our fourth week of the Summer program\, children will engage in outdoor sensorial and art activities using natural materials like sticks\, rocks\, flowers\, leaves\, fruits\, vegetables\, etc.  We will observe insects\, watch the metamorphosis of a caterpillar\, as well as many other activities designed to understand the forms of life.  We look forward to bringing out the artist in your child as they explore their curiosity and creative side in nature\, and you will be amazed at all the wonderful projects created just for you!

SUMMARY:Week 1 - Water Play
DESCRIPTION:This week is all about the amazing aspects of water!  Explore the outdoors with bubbles\, sprinklers\, water pipes\, and splash pads! Mixing\, pouring\, and making a mess is encouraged! Students will participate in a whole host of water-based activities in the wonderful sunshine of July.  Classroom exercises will teach students about the Montessori learning environment as well as grace and courtesy lessons.  Family style lunch will be served on Friday with Beef Sliders\, Sweet Potato Fries and Garden Veggies.
