Summer at Nature Song Montessori
The Nature Song Montessori Summer program is an integral part of our yearly curriculum. The Summer sun allows us to have unique hands on experiences in the outdoors that mirror our science and art activities in the classroom, while also allowing NSM staff to work closely with students to develop their physical and social-emotional skills. Students will participate in team and community building exercises, hands on science and garden exploration, and unique art techniques that allow them to build confidence and fine motor skills. This is the time where we really see that “kids who grow kale, eat kale.” With all this fun to have, we also acknowledge that parents might want to explore all the wondrous camps and vacation opportunities that Oregon Summers allow, so we have divided our curriculum into 7 weekly camps. Our hope is that this allows families to schedule their Summer plans around the camps and activities that work for their schedules, while also allowing for new and interested students to participate in all the fun that NSM has to offer. The NSM Summer program is essential for all families that are continuing with NSM into the Fall year, and enrollment guarantees a spot for the 25/26 Academic year. We can’t wait to see you all at our year end Harvest Festival, so that we can revisit with friends and families from both present and years past. We’ll see you in the sunshine!
